REIKI
I had always been skeptical about energy work until my first Reiki session in Puerto Escondido, Mexico.
The next day, there was a noticeable shift in my perception, and it piqued my desire to learn more about the practice for myself.
While on a particular challenging solo travel mission through Indonesia, I met Reiki Master Cat Wheeler—who taught and attuned me to the Reiki Usui system originating from Tokyo, Japan.
The Reiki lineage is a direct single line, with 8 masters between myself and founder Mikao Usui.
Cat led with science, sharing her deep knowledge about Reiki’s connection to quantum physics and some of the questions it seeks to answer.
Why do we keep recreating the same reality?
Why do we keep having the same relationships?
Why do we keep getting the same jobs over and over again?
In this infinite sea of potentials that exist around us, how come we keep creating the same realities?
In university, I studied the brain, and one thing I learned was that the same areas of the brain light up whether we are looking at a specific object, or merely imagining it. Which provoked another question…
Does the brain see or do the eyes see? What is reality?
The truth is that our brain does not know the difference between what it sees in the environment and what it imagines. This truth is both destabilizing and ultimately freeing.
The way the brain is wired is that we only see what we believe is possible.
We match patterns to what already exists in ourselves through conditioning—but to acknowledge your quantum self is to acknowledge that you have the power of choice to create new pathways.
Quantum physics allows for the intangible phenomenon of freedom to be woven into human nature. It opens the question of what is possible and who chooses from these possibilities.
Reiki is a tool that allows you to connect with another version of yourself and align with your desires. By becoming present in love, and focusing your attention on your intention, you have the power to reset, rewire, and choose again.
Often, our minds operate in the future, ruminating on possible solutions to answers that already exist inside our bodies—removing our agency to take action and embody the person we can be right now, because our preoccupation with the past or future.
By tuning into Reiki, feeling through your senses, and focusing your energy on the present, your cells release stagnant energy—realigning your body and moving you into inspired action.
Within 5 years, Reiki has become not only a tool, but foundational in my life as a daily practice. Reiki can be seen as an anchor through highs and lows, grounding you through the chaos of many storms.
Reiki has supported myself and others with…
Anxiety, self doubt, and depression
Reducing pain—specifically joint and muscle pain, and healing of soft tissue
PTSD symptoms—fear, paranoia, hypervigilance, and loss of agency or will
Processing emotions—specifically grief, sadness, and anger
Finding alignment and balance
Improving self awareness and self worth
Feeling safe and home in your body
Bringing desires into reality
Shaping new pathways
The only thing you need to bring is your intention.
During your session, I will activate Reiki and we will drop into a an exchange that brings your intention closer to reality.
We do not focus on how to get to your goal, we focus instead on the feeling you are inviting in, and I help you to clear space for it.
All sessions are deeply restoring and relaxing in nature.
Reiki is simple, subtle, and tremendously powerful.
Reiki is for you if…
You are experiencing burn out
You need deep rest or a reset
You are experiencing physical pain
You are navigating the unknown
You are shifting or in a transition
You want to change the path you’re on
You need support clearing energetic obstacles
You have a specific goal you’d like to manifest
You’d like to amplify the ripple of your intention
Reiki is life force energy.
I can help you to open all the windows, to get stagnant energy moving—then it is up to you where you will redirect the energy and apply your effort.
You may experience different kinds of responses to the feeling of flowing energy throughout your body—for example, tingling, temperature shifts, lightheadedness, and in deeper sessions, sometimes a form of release.
Reiki is not a ‘cure’ for any way you’ve been feeling, it is a place to accept your current state and plant seeds in your life. The choice to continue showing up to nurture your best intentions will lend to big transformations and deep healing.
If this information is resonating, you have already received the message and the process has already begun.
You are ready to trust yourself, step into a new experience, and carve your path.
